What'ya know I won one! I got this little beauty at the first race in the Virginia mountain bike series. I raced in the 30-39 beginneres division and it was the hardest 10 miles I've ever done on a bike. The course was a disaster and not just from mud. there were lances sticking up and stumps left sticking up, axle deep ruts from motorcycles and mudholes you could swim in that were not draining at all. there were palces that were 30ft up on the side of a cliff with no guard rail at all and off camber trail that didn't even have the leaves removed. Welcome to norba. I'll take all your money now. 5$ a person at the gate and 25$ for the ride put the tab at 60$ for me and Jerry to race making it the most expensive single event we've done. It's ok though, I got a nifty set of Kenda stick-e tires as a prize. I had no photographers at this event so unfortunately I won't have any more pics. My condolences to Tim Biggs who put in a great effort but was beaten down by the nastiest mtb course I've ever seen. Anyone who was there won't soon forget this one. It makes the 2002 mw challenge(think pea soup) look like a desert. Posted by Hello

To update my previous post, the course at the next race at haynes farm was dry and much more passable. I forgave the parking fee thing whenI realized I pay 4$ to get into the state park and 3$ to ride at explore park. He probably should have included it in the initial fee though.
